The Love Story
One designer's vision.
The story that changed fashion.
In the 1980s, fashion and sports lived on different planets.
Fashion lived on runways and red carpets. It was about exclusivity, craftsmanship and materials that had been perfected over centuries. Meanwhile, sports occupied a completely different universe—one of function, performance, and cutting-edge synthetic materials designed for one purpose: to help athletes move faster, jump higher, push harder.
At that time, the world of sports and the world of fashion were two different planets, with apparently nothing in common. Until I—the Matchmaker—changed the rules forever.

Leather has been my partner for years.
Strong. Reliable. Beautiful.
I know every technique. Every stitch.
Military precision in every boot.
Italian craftsmanship in every jacket. Metal hardware that meant
business.
Laces that threaded through soles in ways no one had seen before.
By 1995, I had mastered it completely.
My language was leather, metal, and
REBELLION.
The Leather Years
This was my breakthrough innovation - laces that wrapped through the actual soles, never seen before in footwear. This technique became my signature.
Brown tall boots front wrapped by laces through the soles
Military precision in every design. Italian craftsmanship in every detail. Sculptural back panel became iconic. Bold proportions. Statement hardware. Metal accents that meant rebellion. This defined my rebellious DNA.
Perfecto leather jacket with metal details
I brought street functionality to the runway. Heavy-duty soles with purpose. Metal hardware that meant business. My signature was written in bold hardware and rebellion.
Military combat boots with metal hardware
I transformed ordinary pants into functional armor. Zippers placed unconventionally—function over form. Strategic placement. Deliberate detail. This was fashion that meant business.
All around zipper leather pants
I deconstructed the biker jacket. Straps and buckles repositioned strategically. I didn't follow tradition—I questioned it. Structure became my rebellious tool. The jacket transformed into sculptural armor.

My signature lacing evolved. Now through the heel. Threading boundaries of what footwear could be. I pushed technical limits with every stitch. Function merged with form in ways never seen. The heel became sculptural, purposeful, rebellious.
Lace through heel boots
All signature elements merged into one. Military flaps. Strategic heel lacing. An aggressive silhouette that meant business. This was peak leather craftsmanship. The boot had become revolutionary.

Mastery. Complete. My final statement in pure leather. Before Lycra. Leather. Metal. Rebellion. Perfected. Crystallized. Undeniable. 1995 marked the end of one era. And the beginning of everything that would follow.

But then I started watching athletes.
I saw Lycra in action. The way he moved.
The way he breathed. The way he performed.
There was something there.
Potential. Power.
I Arranged A Meeting
I was trying to FORCE them
to be something they're not.
Leather trying to stretch.
Lycra trying to structure.
But what if they don't have
to change who they are?
What if they don't compete,
but complement?
The Failed Dates
The Suffocating Romance
In the late 1990s, I strayed
from who I was
I was the guy known for tough tailoring and rugged boots, but Paris wanted something else. The avant-garde world demanded it. Elegant. Refined.
But deep down? It felt like a cage.
"I wanted to impress. I wore my finest. Metallic accessories. Delicate lattice work. Everything elegant. Everything refined."
"But there's no room for me here. It's too... stiff. Too precious. I can't breathe. I can't move."
Leather had tried to be someone else.
And lycra? Lycra wasn't even in the picture yet.
Undeniable craft.
Forced Fit
Blind Date with Destiny
Circa 2000
Disaster struck in Milan. My model fell ill. I had the clothes, but
absolutely no one to fill them.
Desperate, I pulled a stockroom worker with similar measurements. He wasn't just an employee; he was a captain.
That stockroom worker wasn't just any employe
He was the captain of FC Fossombrone, a small-town Italian football club. A real athlete. Testing real designs.
I started picking clothes based on his reactions. He showed me the truth:
Too much Leather? He can't perform.
Too much Lycra? He feels naked.
I'm learning. I'm watching.

The Union
The solution to perfect love story
The problem wasn't the materials—it was the approach. Why force structure? Why force movement? What if they played their own game?

The Wedding
In San Siro Stadium, Milan I brought them together in front of the world. The fashion elite watched as two opposites became one.
I became the first designer to marry football and fashion on a runway. The stadium became their chapel. Leather met Lycra. And in that moment, fashion changed forever.
The Golden Years
In 2003, I dressed Inter Milan in custom suits. Real athletes wearing the union of Leather and Lycra. The partnership became unstoppable. They worked together season after season, proving the balance was real.
From 2001 to 2011, I watched them prove everyone wrong.
Forever Inseparable
I left fashion in 2011. My job as matchmaker was done. But Leather and Lycra? They couldn't be apart.
Look around today. Every jacket with stretch. Every suit that moves. That is their love story, living on forever.
